"likewise deacons must be..." (1 Tim. 3:8)

 

The term translated deacon means, "one who is a servant or attendant."  Every Christian is a servant of the Lord, but the work of deacons is a special area of service in Christ's church.

 

1 Timothy 3:8-13 reveals what is required of a man who desires this work.
